Some misc info about various tools I have and use with robotics. Just a place to store tech notes, manuals, etc so I can access them from any web browser.

Cen-Tech DMM I actually have 3 of these floating around between my shop, garage, camper and my robot work area. They are great units, even more so for the price. Plenty accurate enough plus many nice features like tilting screen, temp measurment, probe holder, rubber shell, etc. |

Cen-Tech Digital Clamp Meter This is a decent little unit, but better for AC work as the clamp meter does not work for DC. It also lacks many of the measurments that are good for electronics such as transistors, and what not. |

DPS-712 13.8v @ 7A Regulated Power Supply I've had this power supply for many years. Its great for powering a robot without the battery as it outputs 13.8v which is more like a cars voltage. It has plenty of amps for most my needs. |

RSR 3010 DC Triple Output Variable Power Supply I got this as a kit back in 1993 as a prize for a soldering contest when I went to an open house at ITT. It has been a great little power supply, although it would be nice to have built in meters and a little more power. |

Instek GOS-620 20 MHz Oscilloscope I've not actually used this much in the last several years. With things like phidgets and higher level drivers while working in PC based robots, I've just not had much need to see whats going on electrically. But it worked great whenever I needed it and was quite helpful at the time. I could sell it, but you never know when it could come in handy, so I keep it around. |

Bench Top Cut-Off Saw I don't even remember when I got this, but I've used it hundreds of times. A little under-powered, but if you take it slow, it makes a nice cut in plastic, wood, or even aluminum. The size is perfect (about 6 x 10 inches) for a lot of robot work and can be used right on my work bench without having to a take a trip to my shop. |

33 Piece Precision Screwdriver Set I found these on sale one day for $1.99, what a steal. I bought like 5 sets and have them all over the place, even a set at work. I've made use of the flex shaft many times. It has a lot of small, thin shafted, bits. |

Sunpro CP7678 Automotive Multimeter I've had this for years. Just a backup for robotics use, but mostly use it for automotive use since it has Dwell, Tach and duty cycle capabilities. Think I picked it up at a Schucks. Made by Sunpro which now has their multimeters under the Acton brand. |

Wireless Inspection Camera with 2.4" Color LCD Monitor I wanted one of these for years and once the price came down to about $100, I picked one up. It's a great tool that I've needed many times. Get in and see things without taking something apart, or in hard to reach areas like car engines. The monitor has its own batteries and pops off and is wireless. You can also connect to a TV for recording or just for the large display. It also has attachments like a mirror for 90 degree viewing, a magnet and a hook. |

30" Shear, Press Brake, and Slip Roll I bought this a long time ago as part of a small business venture I was involved with that didn't work out. It's one of those tools that sits for months or years without being used, but then when needed it critical. |

Microlux 7x14 Mini Metal Lathe Again, sometimes doesn't get used, but when needed, its critical. So many things you can do with a metal lathe. I got a 3 jaw chuck to complement the included 4 jaw one. I really like this Micro Mark one over other like from Harbor Freight due to using true-inch dials, digital speed display and a few other features. |

Microlux Benchtop Mini Milling Machine I got this at same time as the lathe, but I don't use it near as much. I got a motorized feed unit for it which helps to make smooth continuous surface finishing cuts. It uses a standard MT3 tool mount so there are tons of other chucks you can get for it. |

Jumbo Helping Hands with LED Lights This is a must. Its must bigger than the standard little ones. Much more stable, the LED light is VERY helpful, and even has a soldering iron holder and magnify glass. A must for the $5 price, I use it quite a lot. |
